Chennai: Former Karnataka IPS official K Annamalai was on Thursday designated as the leader of the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP.
Public General Secretary Arun Singh said in an explanation that BJP National President JP Nadda has designated K Annamalai as the State President of Tamil Nadu BJP.
His arrangement comes a day after the previous state unit leader of the gathering L Murugan was confirmed as a Union priest.
In the wake of leaving the IPS administration, Annamalai joined the BJP in August 2020. Before long, he was designated as the State-Vice-President of the gathering. He is very much associated with the public initiative, particularly the gathering’s General Secretary (Organization) BL Santhosh.
Annamalai fruitlessly challenged the new gathering decisions in Tamil Nadu from Aravakuruchi supporters.
Gathering sources said the rise of Murugan as Minister of State was to make room for Annamalai and set the gathering’s tune for the 2024 Lok Sabha races. The public administration needs a dynamic and energetic pioneer to lead the state unit in Tamil Nadu, which is a troublesome landscape for the gathering.
